I bet those light fictures are very rare and impossible to find.

Some jokes can be made about the views of the basement rooms. What is not a joke is that until the fire of 1991 which destroyed the accompanying building to the tower, the concrete floors had to be mopped and disinfected every day because of the still-present smell of urine and feces, despite the fact that patients had not been kept in the rooms (cells?) for 50 years.

In the summer of 1972 I was lucky enough to intern at WSH. My room was on the top floor just to the left of the tower. It's still visible on the picture. It seemed as haunted on the inside as it does on the outside. What a great experience.

to the people above who asked if it worked. or that it was creepy that it was still plugged in after all these years...it isnt plugged in...the cord is plugged in and then wrapped around the top of the lamp.

although the next time we went we had a VERY bad moment - i remarked to my friend that a trick of the light was making it look like there was someone standing at the end of the corridor. about half a second later we realised someone WAS standing there. not a good moment!! turned out to be pikeys on the rob.

i was there again today. looking at this gallery is making me realise that even after 3 trips there's loads i haven't seen yet.

we went in the dark this morning. not a good thing for the overactive imagination!!
