the building actually isnt in that bad of shape... me n a couple of my friends went there last nite and waled thru it... it was pretty creepy but we got all the way to the roof top and found other kids party'n up there... then we all go tresspassing citations from the park police! lol 10/27/06

i just went into the building tonight but it is crazy we saw so many things that we not right we took a pic of my friends girlfriend in a chair and right behind her was a lady in a long white dress and we got it all on tap it was nuts. we all were like lets keep going and find more then we were vidio taping this hallway and all we saw were little strings like objects going in crazy angals come at us and then you look up from the camra screen and you see nothing it was like it was never even there in total we spent about 2 hour inside and it was worth it if you ever have the chance to go and you dont mind trespassing then it is right up your allie oh and if you do go post it on here i would like another persons feed back

I live in Pottstown and I have been in there many of times. I myself have been asked to leave by Military Police and even arrested once for beeing on the property. There is an evil presence in the facility. I have heard the stories and I have seen the pictures but nothing says of the darkness that surrounds that place. I have documents from inside and have seen photos from the files inside. Creepy place filled with misunderstanding, anger, and confussion. I believe there is a dark history that even the government doesnt want people to know of.

Yeah, I find it to be sort of an amusing commentary on how western societies view death...it's like everything has to be kept permanent, even the box.

With all due respect and without a doubt most of the folks who work in mental health facilities give a damn, but y'all did NOT know the cesspool that was Met State. Sure, there were some caring folks that worked there, but there also were psychotic psychiatrists, mental health workers who ripped off the patients and worse, much, much worse.

A patient from nearby private county club Mclean/"Mcmed" psychiatric hospital escaped in the late 80's and had the misfortune of wandering onto the Met State grounds. They held her at Met State temporarily and when she got back to Mclean she said "you know, this place isn't all that bad."

What a great place to search, must be really eerie at night and that's all the better. I would love to start searching abandoned buildings again.

For those of who who think the renovation was done by some dillusional architect..maybe. More often than not, this is the kind of stuff that happens when an architect is NOT involved.
