Pretty amazing pix. I love pix of old amusement parks. Most people I have met who do them have to kind of gatecrash to get in because of al the red tape from various realty agencies,etc who own them. Really brings back some fond fond memories. And not that long ago, what...the early 90's. Conrad Ferla who use to own all this, and the Warwick Musical Tent(now a Lowes) died and, so they say, the kids didn't want to take care of it all, so Rocky Point went bankrupt (it was headed that way anyway thanks to Six Flags, Disneyworld, and the general drop off of people going to these places. Warwick changed alot in the 90's and at the end of that decade, alot of places were gone, another being the Meadowbrook Cinema which had been standing for close to 30 years. Great photos, they bring back a lost time for many of us.

Opinions are one thing. Intentionaly singling someone out or making deragitory comments to someone or a group of someones IS flaming, and should be deleted.
Rational debates go on here at this site all the time without incident. But when someone crosses the line into intentional flaming of an individual than they are reprimanded. Happens all over the place not just here. You wouldn't be able to get away with it at a job, why should it be acceptable here?

If you don't like it you can always go somewhere else...we're not fussed, honestly.

why is it that any opinion held by another party is always considered flaming? why is it that rational debates cannot be held without the threat of banning or deletion of posts? it's understood that this is a privatly owned page and forum but why would one not encourage diversity and questioning of ideals and thoughts held dearly?

My first thought was that this looked like one of those jigsaw puzzle photographs with the castle or villa in the autumn--so many gorgeous colours. This would make an excellent 1000-pc.

There's an idea: Jigsaw puzzles featuring Motts' photos. I'd rather do one of these than the same old Bavarian castle or fishing boat puzzles they always have. [And you can only do so many glow-in-the-dark wizard puzzles...]

I digress. Excellent work, Motts. All of it.

I too have been fascinated by this place ever since I went there. The thing that I am most interested in is the tunnels. Some of the stories I heard about the place were about tunnels connecting alot of the main buildings. I have seen some of em, but that was like 10 years ago. How flooded are the basement levels, ankle/knee/waist/chest high? If anyone knows.

I just finished a bowl of cereal that I ate with a spoon stamped "B.S.S". So there. I took a spoon. Does that make me bad?? Then what about the bowling pin, or the hanger stamped "Belchertown State School"? Pics of them to be posted on photobucket...Meg - I was there last Saturday, from 10-3, the day before the fire. You're right tho - it's weird how open it all is. I for one would prefer they block it off and try to keep us out - that way it might survive a while longer. I hate vandals/arsonists. HATE.
