love the perspective!

i lost my dog on the grounds .she looked like the dog face on top of the door

"Straw" is commonly used in several low end caskets usually used for cremation. It is actually wood shavings. The height of the body in the casket can be adjusted by removing some "straw". The straw is covered by a peice of material.

I don't think it's dirt, but rather stuff from the rotting ceiling and peeling walls

Great Site, how did you get in to take the shots? Always wanted to get in and take a look around-actually there is a cemetery in very close proximity where these pictures were taken for those who died while inpatient, as was the case with many state run institutions of the day.

Friends and I went exploring at the ground level basement and we found large cages made out of wood with metal screens. Anyone have any idea what these were for?

Yeah... I can't imagine what type of assholes or people would actually go live there on those grounds... and so on...

i've been in the Norwich Hospital so many times. i live right down the street. the scariest thing there is security. but this door is creepy as well. if you go stop spending time looking for ghosts, keep you eyes out for rent-a-cops

this is a strange photo because it looks like the picture was taken on the outside, but looks like the photographer is on the inside...
