Some places DONT get torn down.Ive been in places with medicines dating from the 50s.Still sitting there,untouched,waiting for the next photographer to take a photo,or someone just to enjoy it.
Ive seen things dated even further to the 1800s.Did i take them?No.
Most likely they could end up in a museam or collection one day.And you'd have been the idiot that stole it.

If you get caught with property you not only get charged with criminal trespass but theft,and sometimes they can get you for B+E.Is it worth it for a phone you could find at a yard sale for a buck?

I was there earlier this year and I have pictures of the fixture still standing.I went back a few days ago and was extremely sad to see it gone.

I still haven't looked at them all. It seems like every time I go back through a gallery, there's another little detail in a picture I hadn't noticed before. It's fascinating to discover. I truly can't imagine (as I'm sure none of us can), what it would have been like to have spent the better part of a lifetime in one of these places....I mean, NEVER to have known a life even remotely like the "everyday" experiences we all take for granted...hmmm. Just a thought. ---BTW, Motts, thanks so much for the wallpaper!...:-). I stuck a great one on my desktop. I know, it's been said before, but still...great site..;-)

i was just at pennhurst this weekend. we got right in and right out without any problems. however we did hear a loud tourtured moan when we went to the second floor of devon hall. it sounded like someone being hurt or something. we were too scared to go check it out so we ran out. that place is beautiful, but as i found out, not a place to disrespect.

must of taken some courage to go inside of the boat considering the condition some of the boats are in.

Looks like most of the ship is still above water . the deck still looks safe enough to walk on.

I like the way how the people in the pic are slightly blurred, as if they took a part of it with them when they went.

I can see why they are called twins they look almost exactly alike.
