on my way to see a client today i had to drive up the hill , it is a shell of its former self . i was shocked to see the water tower is still there , and while its a shell of its fomer self i was still fasinated , i would love to check it out at night. its still a very cool looking and grand building , i was not bothered by anyone and i wad maybe 50 feet from the main kirkbride.

Great Barr Hall has not been demolished as far as Im aware it is in the hands of owners who are to turn it into apartments.Its grade II* listed so they will be made to be sympathetic to it. I own one of the lodges which were once apart of this fantastic house. (the pictures are beautiful but sad - vandals hold your heads in shame!!)

acuteward and isabeats - I occasionally have a similar situation. I don't wake up and run around screaming though. What happens to me is I know I am sleeping and I am trying to wake up. The odd part is it's as if I can see the room around me, but I can't move. And the scary part is there is a terror associated with it that I can't explain. I am just glad it only happens to me once every 2 - 3 months.
