I'd think that xeroderma pigmentosa and other light-sensitive conditions would be a bit too rare to necessitate an entire wing of a hospital in such a design.

You are so right Mike, this is one that should never have been allowed to come to this!! What are people thinking when they allow history to come to this? I understand progress but at what cost?

We are preventing future generations from knowing where we come from and what amount of grace and care when into building when most buildings now all look like they came from the same cookie cutter.

I had a nice view of it from my condo window across the lake. It is creepy no matter where it is viewed from!

i was ther on 11-15-06 when my boyfriend at the time p. Linskey lied down in that "thing" we were video recording it and as soon as he lied doen the camera died and so did our flashlights its no joke this place is haunted

I knew a couple of patients who were 'freed' from this facility when the doors were thrown open. They became confused, despondent, and homeless. The closing of such places was a grave injustice to many of those who needed & depended upon them. I believe the mental institution will have to be re-invented.

The floor in there is so clean since they abated that wing, it looks brand new, minus the holes in the walls.

Last time i tried to bowl in there the lanes where so filthy it was impossible to bowl accuratly, but the game was still fun as hell.

Ah the 4th floor. My favorite chill room is about 15 feet behind where mr motts was standing. That little box in front of the stairs was lingering around that nurses station right up until the end...
