love your photographs. i'm new to urban exploration. i started out haunting freightyards and it led to cemetaries and abandoned buildings and abandoned buildings led to urban exploration. i'm especially drawn to old machinery with gauges and dials, they re aesthetically pleasing. at present i'm visiting family in northern va/ metrolpolitan washington, but i'll be back on the road soon . i find your work inspiring

If you arrived in 1991 you weren't in the Bonner Building basement. It was a ward, yes. It however was the Transition Unit. You were admitted to the 2nd floor, if you were admitted at all. I find your veracity lacking. If your main bitch was, they made you take a shower , they were supposed to believe you'd showered. That's rich. Everyone got one.

We just abused patients to wile away the hours until we could go home and totrure our children. We had obviously the largest collection of sadists and perverts known to man, working there. I trust you filled out the patient satisfaction survey when you were discharged, God I hope you weren't too harsh.
Session 9 was filmed at the old abandoned Danvers State Hospital (near Boston) that closed up in the 1980s.

The complex is now condos. They kept the admin building and part of the Kirkbride and restored it.

Love those Boston accents :-)

A long time ago I used to see the ADA guys driving Hummers and APCs ( Armored Personnel Carriers ) around with stingers? on the roof tracking a target remote control plane. Biggest RC plane I ever saw with neon tail and wingtips. I think they got new quarters because they are never driving around anymore. Still stay out I would hate to hear about anyone getting hurt there
Wow what an amazing shot. The effort to turn Pennhurst into a Veteran's cemetary failed as have recent development plans
Yes that pipe insulation is spelled abstestos and it's a carcinogen obviously. Not to mention the ton of lead paint
I know you can't get an STD from a doorknob but it still skeeves me.
That picture is a heart breaker. I heard some of the inmates retardation was caused by Syphillis. So I am never going to explore those building.
Any talk of the state coming in to clean this joint up?
