It is in the section of the building that was saved. It was gutted, but maybe some of the wood work exists still elsewhere.

Moving prisoners from one jail to another may happen at any time of day, the inmates are told to get their shit together for transfer but arent generaly told untill they get to dock if its a block transfer or a jail transfer, in as much as when its selected transfer, otherwise they transfer tank by tank (most new jails have what are caled tanks which is a day room, and then then bunk room lined with bunks and a few toilets) to the next prison

that pretty much says it all.

PS - in the USA during prohibition on e could obtain an rx for whiskey, etc. from an MD. I am sure these were less than medicinal. You can find many for sale on E Bay

"poisons" are often used in operating equipment -ie X ray machines, pre-test drugs, etc, not just 'fun drugs'. Barium?? etc. and the like- ect. don't read so much into the use of the word, esp. in a foreign country. What is the Welsh word for poison?

Sorry, I never had much intrst ibthe foreign phots till I saw these. Do you suppose this to be some sort of horroble punishment room, or just a random broom closet or something? What would make you call it a "room" as oppesed to a closet? It's very frightening to sense someone in "there"...

Is it just me or does anyone else feel it comical that there are large Exit signs on each floor. I can't imagine what each inmate thought about every time they would pass those signs.

how could a place like this leave behind such a tragic past.. it makes me so sad to even think what might have happened in these buildings that have been around for 100 years now!

i remember seeing this when i was in the building next to fogarty..( the howe building?) but anyways i thought it was so cool to see it
