im surprised no one had run off with the tub considering the price of them now a days

im glad there are some intelligent folks that know its a hooper its still used in nursing homes and hospitals today for the cleaning of soiled linens and clothing

The next town over from me has an old shaker cemetary with metal grave markers. When my sisters and I were teenagers the markers used to spook us something awful!
They are white and almost skull shaped and sit atop these long poles, truly unique.
Even now, as an alleged adult they sometimes spook me if I drive by them at night, on certain nights the white on them almost glows.....yikes... and I am not a believer of ghosts at all but still find it rather creepy.

They were probably investigating whether there is some difference in plasma levels of certain substances ( possibly serotonin, dopamine, or some other neurotransmitters) between healthy and mentally ill patients. The study was done in the 50's before there were reliable ways of measuring their plasma levels.

i believe that chair probably dates to the turn of the 19th century. we had one in the hospital where i went to school 40years ago
