Man, I grew up running all through byberry, especially the buildings across the street from where most of these shots were taken. I remember clearly seeing long hallway which was one of the underground hallways and at the end were double doors with a devils face saying "welcome to hell" . It was amazing having a place like this to party at. We had our own PARTY BUILDINGS ! Complete with underground catacomb crawl spaces and very dark and gloomy rooms, several with the floors falling apart,. You kinda had to hop over those sopts. sometimes a 3-5 foot jump was required. And the roof was crumbling up 6 floors up we would be sitting on large half broken concrete slabs. Getting completely wasted. It's amazing none of us ever had life threatening injuries. At least nothing a few stiches or a cast couldn't fix. To sum it up, we had life by the BALLZ !!! Later
I love all the photos taken of this old building. I was reading City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare and they mentioned this building in the story. Just curious I googled it and to my surprise it is a real building. It is sad to see it go to ruin. I think to if these walls could talk what horror stories it would tell. They didn’t have medical help back in the day like they have now. Poor sick people pretty much went here to die.
Hey Motts, is someone sitting on the floor on the very right of the pic? Cuz I'm pretty sure I see someone's elbow. Well anyway, keep up the great work!
I want to thank douglass and my Alumni sponsor for all the help and information they have provided me on past and present evildoers that were and are employed by the state. Some are now currently at Pilgrim. That being said, our courageous leader decrees that our next meeting will be on 7/19/2008 at SE 52- 495. This is a mandatory meeting.
