Just a guess here...but I think the painting is of one of the saints. Staints are often depicted like this is pictures.

I am not sure if it helps or scares them. I am guessing it depends on their personal experiences at Gaebler. It left a big impact on my life and I wasn't a patient . I can't put myself in your shoes. Everyone probably feels different emotions when viewing this site.

The glass really frames the building beautifully, I really like this.

The real creepy thought for me is that this thing is on the inside of the door and some crazy person just stared at it 24/7, maybe while holding a stuffed racoon and waiting for medicaion time...

The paint closer to the cielling is newer. The person that did the last paint job did not have a ladder.
