This brings back memories. We broke into the main building before it was torn down in the summer of 1974. We got chased by security, took off in the woods, walked along train tracks and ended up at the coal burning power plant. The guard there made us walk through the still occupied insane asylum until we got to the gate that leads out to Comack Road. What a day that was, I will remember it until I die!

The pictures make sense if this is a fortress. As do the super thick walls.

this place used to be directly behind my old house growing up, learned to ride my bike there, haha. the morgue looks like the scariest place there. never been inside any of the buildings, howd u get in there? i hear security is tight and there constant police monitering now

i just went up there a couple of weeks ago and found the tunnels. most of them are dry but some have water almost up to your ankle. So make sure you bring your mudd boots! its definitley cool down there!

It's interesting that right now on InSession (formerly Courttv) is an arson/murder case wherin the defendant is extremely mentally disturbed. The crime occurred 10 years ago and in testimony by psychiatrists it turns out the defendant was detained for observation in this very hospital. Must have been shortly before closing.
