i use to get in this hospital wit alot of my friends for thrills we use to go at night one night we went wit a video camera and we caught voices shadows all types of stuff and in every room on the end of the wings of the hospital there was at least one or two birds wit there heads twisted completly around wat did that i dont know till this day but everytime we went there it was always something different it wasent all ways nice either to bad they opend it up again use to be alot of fun

We came to work at Letchworth in 1970, I just remember they were beautiful people that needed us to survive. They called us "mom" or mami. We treated them with love and they became part of our family. That picture that you see here ...was never like that, there was a medication room and only the staff asigned had the key. Yes the state locate them in Letchworth because the family who responsible could not or would not take care of them. We also heard those horrible stories like many other people but those are not our memories.There was programs, trips, swimming pools. I remember staff compieing who kept there asigned clients better (clean,well fed and more) We have good memories of Letchworth.

i would love to visit the asylum wish it was still there the picture is great picture it everyone all of us standing in there

its very inviting to sleep looks comfy

all of you are so lucky if you got to inside these places i love the table id love to have it for a background on my pc lol

its really sad that someone would graffiti a piece of history come people dont destroy insane asylums there already rottting let them rot in piece

About 35 or 40 years ago I actually was on a school fieldtrip to pennhurst when it was still in operation. The feild trip was MANDATORY! Everyone HAD to go. We toured many of the buildings and actually interacted with some of the patients. Really f'ed up!!!!

its a very nice setup and very well organized
but i agree taking away stuff from the patients for safety reasons
