What I wouldn't give for that first table. The others are ugly and...well...ugly, but that first one is nice.

Imagine putting it in the dining room (after a good cleaning and sanitization that is) for use and just *waiting* for "That's an odd table, where did you get it?"

I am with you on that..if a part of the Pines could be preserved and another area could be opened again for guests and reunions it would be so great! We could save a small piece of what is so important to so many of us that stayed at Pines all those years ago! The memories will always live!

It has been 54 years since I graduated from Bennett. I now spend my summers in Nova Scotia Canada. Much to my delight and surprise , my dearest friend up here, also graduated from Bennett, but in 1960. We met up here for the first time 14 years ago...small world. We both have many, many happy memories fo that special place.

These must be the waste left over from patients who underwent a transorbital lobotomy. I'm really shock that they were not sent to a incinerator and just left there.

i live on long island, and have visited this aylum probably close to 20 times. It is so peaceful to visit this place. we spend hours inside the buildings. good times. now im in california. stationed at twenty nine palms marine base. The vines coming in reminds me of the movie "The Secret Garden" Mary wandering into her aunts room for the first time, the pigeons flying, and all the vines making their way in...love it!
