You sound so interesting and have enjoyed your comments! I wish we could trade places for a while so you could visit the US and i could see the lovely coast line of Greece! You a art teacher, me a artist, thats unreal.
Felshy, good luck with that. The security is ... well, a bit over the top. I think that they fear law suits from injury if someone goes in. Kids were arrested about a year ago for going in and grabbing some dishes.
Danny - this is Norwich, CT, USA - not England. I drive by this hospital often and it is unnerving ... the buildings look as tortured from the outside as these show them to be.
If buildings can have so much evil happen in them that they become evil - these are the ones. There is so much beauty on the site - lovely old buildings, once stunning, I am sure - but now they just seem to sit, suffering for all the suffering that they housed.
Utopia is out, by the way. The City of Norwich is still battling whether to buy their parcel from the state. Cleanup and conversion costs are seeming to come in at $15M, according to yesterday's paper.
poor motts, we're all so demanding.......;)
I good idea would be to include in the book the BEST photo from each gallery or location, but how could we choooooooooose???? We could hold a poll and see which photos get the most votes.....
I'm not sure where it is, Lucielou, but it's gorgeous. I worked in a school in London for some years when I was an art teacher and the art department, together with the drama and music department, was in the old annex that looked very similar to this! I used to hear children's voices long after everyone had gone home. I'm sure that it had spirits of children in there.......I like to think they enjoyed our art classes! ;)
By the way, we had extensive grounds around the school with a pond of fish and mini woodland area. Lots of roses too
hhahahahhhaha! omg sorry LucieLou, totally got the wrong end of the stick there! Hope you're feeling better today, that flu thing sucks.
Yes I am near the coast although I live in a city (Thessaloniki). I lived for 8 years on an island, that was dreamy..........I'd love to visit the states.......
