Such a moving gallery. Hope that those buildings that were destroyed had some of that wonderful "stuff" salvaged before they were torn down. Amazing photos...wish I had words to accompany them...

There's a little tool that makes these, you put the die in a plier-type tool and squeeze. It's like the precursor to the Dymo labeller.

You might take a look at the "Cambria City" section of Johnstown PA where six out of seven catholic churches were scheduled to be closed two years ago due to a drop in congregation. My understanding is that the diocese selected one church, and combined the congregations. I had fantasized of finding a grad student to photo document these buildings, but that never happened.
