nvus, I'll hazard a poetic guess that once the interior structure does all collapse, there is likely not much in those rooms (or in the case of massive junk pileup, it's unidentifiable anyway) ...so, all those doors to the formerly stark and empty little rooms will be liberated to the sunlight.

Maybe the paint peeling doesn't look that bad. If it were still green all over the walls, it would be considerably more ugly in low light.

In light of the fact that the cabinet had space for 10 rows, 10 toothbrushes per row, if everyone in a ward had theirs kept together, maybe 100 people on each ward.

Prior to seeing photos of this particular place, I really did sometimes think about toothbrushes, etc in hospitals.
