Almost impossible to image this used to be a sanitary place of cleanliness and healing.

If the room's ability to stop the spread of mold is any testament to its ability to stop the spread of disease... I'm thinking that didn't work out so well for them.

I grew up across the river from this place. I went there when it was abandoned. I paid a homeless guy five bucks to show me how to get in. All it was filled with was heroin bags,used up needles, cheap alcohol bottles , and homeless people. I am happy to see someone bought the place and renovated the land. It was a eye sore for a while. I actually know a few of the sheriffs who worked there. It wasn't the best place to work from what i hear.

Born and raised in Philly and I'm still here. I actually lived only about 2 blocks from this Hospital. It used to have a brick wall that circled the building and had trees and flowers planted behind the wall. We would sit on the wall on a hot summer night and enjoy the breeze.

Ya! The USSR suffered the most casualties, lost the most property, and destroyred more German forces than any other nation during the Second World War. And even after all that, they still found a way to go toe-to-toe with the USA (whose only home losses occured at Pearl Harbour, which wasn't technically American soil yet).

Wonderful composition Motts. I really like the decay of the ceiling and the absence of floor - it looks like a nightmarish reflection. The dust looks like fog. :-) You definitely have a gift!

the zepplin building was the Dicoda in new york city where John Lennon was killed but it definitely reminded me of it great picture
