My grandmother (now deceased who lived in Tupelo, Mississippi) used too own a few rotary phones, and I do vividly remember making telephone calls on her phone in the 1970's. Rotary telephones definitely do predate the 1970's, as far as the American public having too use rotary telephones are concerned.

Hi I saw this place again on CBS news yesterday, and I heard they're turning it into a haunted house attraction for 2010's Halloween season, opening on September 23rd. Did anyone else see that news report????

I know i'm late but maybe I can help. It's an advice to not obstuct the door of the "Schaltschrank". Access must be granted, maybe in case of an emergency or failure. Don't know how to translate exactly because I'm german. So sorry for my spelling. Btw I love this site just can't stop looking

there are actually two mourges there is one in the irst hospital acrosse the street rom the cinigauge and there is one in the hosiptal by williow grove it looks noting like this picture anymore this place is fucked up now

Ive been in here Im pretty sure. I live next to the place, used to walk around in here all the time. These pictures show the place at its best! certaintly a eerie place, especially the tunnels in the basements

To Colleen : This is not a restraint. Please browse through the other comments. At least two people have stated what this was, and what it is still used for. It is the sling for a hoyer lift. Again, it is not a restraint. If you truely were a nurse, you might know this especially if you have worked in a retirement home.
