How many times have I lamented on here they don't build things like this anymore?? Wow, this is neat. Looks pretty strong still, too. Nowadays, you can drive to the store and pass an empty lot on the way, and they'll have a building built on it by the time you're going home. Well, not LITERALLY that fast, but everything's so crapped together too fast for architecture like this.

Such a strange building. These stairs really un-nerve me without any kind of banister or railing. If you fell, you would probably go far.

Are there other boat graveyards like this, or is this one all that remains? Old hardware like these boats had so much "craft" in their construction.

Those anchors would look GREAT as props in a seafood restaurant, etc.

Motts have you ever stayed over night in a place like this...not for paranormal reasons or anything, just to take some really neat pictures? You seem to take alot in the dawn and dusk hours...stunning by the way

how sad that at times this was probably the closest thing people had to home, dreams and hopes of actually feeling loved. i hope that that wish of going home came true. no one deserves to be alone...especially on christmas :( i wish that more people could walk a day in the shoes of someone with special needs. I truley appreciate that you give people that chance motts, to see that people still need some loving too. <3

Motts thats really freaky thought still. you come prepared but dont you ever get freaked out that the doors will shut and you wont get out? thank goodness someone asked along time ago if you bring people with you. still i worry :S

Actually those are two different types of pipets. In the background are three plastic wrapped disposable large volume pipets used to dispense from 1 milliliter up to 10 or 20 milliliters. The metal brass colored pipet has a disposable plastic barrel and the needles are the blunt tips that attach to the plastic barrel. This pipet is used to deliver highly precise volumes of blood/serum or reagent chemicals used in lab tests. It's actually made of anodized aluminum. That particular model seems to be type used in the 70's. It's amazing to me it was left behind because they are very expensive due to the required precision. The plastic disposable pipets are a more recent development. Sorry, don't mean to over analyze, but these types of shots are part of what attracts me as well as the great art shots.

I imagine if being there was anything like this...even in better condition, would feel lonely and cold. its really hard to believe that people put loved ones in places like this...its heartbreaking
