This tower is from my dreams as a kid. I wanted a house with a special room for reading. Like at the top of a tower with all the lighting needed and a comfortable chaise. One like this would be perfect. The windows would allow me to watch the world as I curled up with my Kindle and my cat. Great set of pics of some truly special buildings the like of which will never be built again.

Why dont the people who own these older building auction off these old peices before the places are torn down, some collectors would pay good money for these pieces.
Just recently finding out about my fathers side of the family's history. Turns out that my Grandfather's brother was hospitalized there and died there in 1926. Looking at his death certificate it listed this hospital as place of death. Got curious and looked this up, wow what a scarey place.

@Momma, yes I see it too. Maybe both our minds are sick, twisted & perverted. (Not that there's anything wrong with that).
Does anyone else see what I see under that window...that black drawing of what APPEARS to be two people engaged in...well...

Uhhh...a very interesting past-time?

(Or is that just my sick, twisted, perverted mind that sees that?)
autoguy---try saying that 3 times fast! I tried it and my tongue had a hernia AND it threatened to divorce me if I did it again. :D

Holy tongue-twister Batman! LOL!
Hmm...true...

Or Pepto-Bismol Pink...that color that kills your eyes, but cures your tummy-ache...

Or that awful white tile you see everywhere...

Gaspeth....there seems to be NOTHING on these walls lol! That sure makes it dull and non-descript doesn't it? :D
HAHAHA...:) *Hands ferdy a broom*

Heh...nooone took the railing in here. How odd.
LOL @ autoguy...

Oh yeah, forgot about those pesky zombies!! We need some of those Zombie-Proof doors from one of the other galleries in here...

:D
WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS PLACE IN PERSON...LOOKS SCARY AS HELL!
