This one is soooo pretty... I love seeing buildings covered in vines and I particularly like the architecture of this place. I stumbled across this site by accident a few days ago, and I must say, I love your work! Abandoned places fascinate me, particularly hospitals, but I'm far too scared to do any exploring in them.

I wish someone would give me a place like this. I would do whatever I could to fix it up and live in it. It's too beautiful to let rot away. Of course, I suppose so much depends on the surrounding area and if it is crime and drug infested so maybe living here would not be safe? If that's so, I would just hoist the place up and move it to a better location. Of couse all these dreams take money unfortunately!

I had a great deal of trouble finding... high quality photos of this side of the building. I had to eyeball it from low res black and white photos and postcard photos. Anyone have modern day shots of this side of the building?

I realize the "new" dorms block some of it and they probably punched a giant hole in the wall to put in that walkway. *shivers* Poor Halcyon Hall.

I stumbled onto this site today and just spent a few hours absolutely captivated looking through your pictures. What would it have been like to walk down some of these halls? Sat on the manicured lawns? I wonder what happiness and fun took place in some of them, and in others I don't think I would care to know at all, the sorrow would be too great. Such grand places, such eerie places, some now so ominous, imposing almost dead. Yet you bring them to life. Sad and fascinating at the same time. I came back to this one picture because it is my favorite out of all of them. Light gently washing in, as if it is breathing life back into these old walls and cold halls. If only for a moment. You do wonderful work, and through your eyes I have seen and been to places I would never get to go. So thank you Motts. I look forward to more adventures!

This brings back memories. I still have 2 glass bottles from this room, a small one and a medium one. =)
