Hello everyone,

I just wanted to update everyone on the Bennett project, things have been kind of tuff because it's been difficult to get interviews. It seems that a lot of people are interested but when it comes time to film them, they disappear. So far, we have one, and it turned out very well. Does anyone have an interest in being interviewed on here? I would like to get at least two more people before I release a trailer. No driving required, I would be happy to come to you.

Wonderful to read all of this. My mother was born and raised in RI, I was born in Pawtucket. I remember going to RP once back in the 60's when we went back east on vacation. I will have to show mom this, she will be sad, but enjoy it! Thanks Mott for all of your photos and thanks to all of the info!

My electric bill for one month in the summer for a 4 bedroom house here in Houston, TX is well above that!

It's still there. This was the tuberculosis isolation hospital. They built a town admin building right near by to make it harder to get into. The fires were vandalism and the town had a really hard time getting back there to put it out.
If you can get a hold of the the official Hanson Town Book(Ya know each town has one, All the same format with history of the town and the houses) In it there is pictures of it in it's hay day.
At the time it was believed that fresh air was good for TB(In tropical climates it can be). So one of the pictures is of the patients in their dressing gowns outside, in the winter playing ring around the rosie. They had now idea they were killing them faster. There is another picture of the staff and an outside shot of the hospital itself. Many a child in our area went through the great rite of passage by sneaking in and seeing who can last the longest.

I have never been anywhere near Letchworth and saw it on one of those ghost hunter shows. Ever since seeing that show, for some odd reason I feel drawn to the place. Not because of the ghost thing but something much different. Maybe I just feel the sadness that was endured there.

Oh Pat,it sounds pritty hard to do for the young ones that
have a dare from their mates to put that mark on the wall
that will show others that they had the balls to not get
caught,not like all the others.It sounds like that it wont be long
now then as the place is getting more attention even tho
its not the attention that it in its own right deserves.Thanx
to all our mates in the states that keep the ones of us on
the other side,up to date with what is going on.Any more
on October the 1st.Wont it be cool if it is one of those
things that just keep on keepn on an and it keeps us all
talking.If Bennett fell the heck ova or was pushed (Heaven
Forbid) what would happen.Would we find another ruin to
love and have a common interest in.Seems sad guys.I for
one dont know the answer??U guys are cool and in my
