Very special castle-like hospital building and a very special place the Roosevelt Island.
Shows up well on Google Earth, and there is a time-line to follow the progress. (And lots of pictures, of path of trees and whatnot - but yours are the best as they have more soul.)
This is good for the venerable grave solemn shell still remaining.
And it did not rust and disintegrate - they knew how to build, weld, and paint back in the days.
Ohhhhh too cool......
It looks older than it is. A Hospital built like a castle. This is good.

These are definitely weighing scales and we used them for physically handicapped patients who had to be lifted by staff and for anyone who couldn't stand on conventional scales. We did not tie anyone on them. I also miss St. Margarets.

Wow motts awesome pics as always. I would have been afraid to go into that building with it being in such bad shape. Did u run into any problems while inside or was a little bit better on the inside.
