Just to update everyone who may re-visit the comments on Great Barr Hall, it has changed hands again and there was a meeting held recently in regards to its restoration. Unfortunately I was unable to attend the meeting however hopefully now it has new owners maybe something will start being done to bring the old hall back to its former glory. I will post more information as I find out more.

I'm glad to hear some effort is being made to save this location, too many beautiful buildings are left to rot and disappear or are pulled down.

Yes it is flushed, a number of notable abandonments appear in that game, including the casino in Asbury Park, Domino sugar plant in Brooklyn, and the Pabst brewery by me in Newark.

Iceberg, I am not a gamer. I do enjoy seeing the game screens on youtube I enjoy the graphic backgrounds. This photo as well as "palace" in this gallery have the gaming like atmosphere. Mr. Mott's thanks for the gallery. To bad the drive to save it in the 1970's failed. I feel certain the effort back then has helped it to last this long. Looks like some prime real estate.
