'Inviting the cold'...I love your poetic description of this place in the intro. You are gifted in prose as well as photos, Sir Tom. : )

@Charlie-I'm with you on that, pal. I would also love to live in the old section. In fact, I have always fancied it as my "castle". It's too bad that most of it was torn down.

What a difference a misty fog makes! Thank goodness you were able to capture the mysterious beauty of this place with these weather conditions. Great job, pal! : )

@mammabear-Funny, I had originally thought the same thing about the applesauce. : ) I like your screen name, btw, very cute!

@LucieLou-I like your metaphor of the foggy walkway-it does appear as the unrequitted path...

Hey, Joe-I was thinking the same thing! Poor Mr. Motts-I hope he doesn't get mad with all these soap dispenser jokes-we're all just kidding around. : )

@Amber-It's a shame that some parents would just drop off their babies and never see them again! How sad. I would NEVER abandon my child, no matter what.

@ilovehorseyrides-Hi! Yes, I was refering to the Six Flags New England. My favorite rides are roller coasters-I love the front seat! : ) I've been on a lot of coasters in my day, once I went down (front seat) on the Locknesh Monster at Bush Gardens in Virginia. It's a ride that goes straight down! Very scary, but oh, what a rush!

I love the blue hues in this photo. The window looks so ethereal-like it's floating above the water.

I love the effect of vines creeping up against windows...I remember the beauty I saw through an old screen window of my dad's barn with the vine creeping up as the early morning sun shone through.

A fancy soap dispenser?! ; ) Sorry, Mr. Motts, but I just couldn't resist-the whole soap dispenser thing is really quite endearing. Regardless, this elaborate piece is quite the find-I'm glad you included it into your portfolio.
