But suddenly the yellow brick road turned and twisted. Forced to walk up the wall, to stay on and follow it, Dorothy and company knew their trip had now taken a bizarre turn of events...
Love the shades of blue.
Interesting how each door is a different design. Gives the shot even more depth and personality.
I love how you've captured the light filtering through the window panes and how it becomes a spotlight to the dancing swirls of color from the designs on the rug.
What a beautiful design!
I wonder what the images were in the stained glass.
So beautiful! I would love to have this room!
It would have been beautiful to have an artist use those two sections where the arches are and paint a scene in each of them from the floor all the way to the top of the arch. Art like Pre-Raphaelite or Alphonse Mucha. I would line the rest of the walls floor to ceiling with bookcases.
Of course you'd need a tall ladder on wheels to reach them.
This room reminds me of the Disney cartoon, "Beauty and the Beast" when Belle first walks into his library and falls in love when she sees bookshelves from the floor to ceiling filled with books.
Motts~I wish I was rich. I'd be offering you book deals! I would love to see your work in a series of books.
At the Enchanted Forest's birthday celebration there were some artists selling their painted artwork of the place.
Also put some of their art up for auction there.
Have you ever shown your work in a gallery or done anything like that before?
Oh wow...I hope you go back sometime in the Autumn too. I live in Maine and I LOVE seeing trees arch over a road or a path through the woods like a tunnel. This is such a beautiful photo. In the Fall could only enhance it's beauty even more!
UPDATE~These two tea cups have been restored. The other that had been donated from a private collection has just been repaired. There are now 3 of the original teacups from the Alice in Wonderland ride from the Enchanted Forest at Clark's Farm.
Painted Red, yellow, and blue, they can be seen at different locations there. They may be used to sit in and are great for photos!
For me this is the
"I just want to crawl into a hole in the wall and die...but I can't find the hole."
Candace did a wonderful job posing in these pictures. With Motts photography you can feel her pain and feel great compassion for her.
Thank you, Van Gogo~
You and I have the same understanding for that name, and I personally, couldn't for the life of me, understand why someone would want to put that kind of image into such a wonderful nursery rhyme and fairytale theme park that was created specifically for children and all kids at heart. : )
"Uhhhhh..no thanks. I'll just stay and drink my coffee up here while I wait for all of you. Have fun!"
Holy Crap! Motts, please tell us that you do tell at least one person where you're going when you head out to take pictures.
The correct answer would be "Yes."
Usually there are two masks used for representing the arts. Happy and sad.
Any idea if there was a happy face on the other side of the cart?
Seen alot of the morgue shots throughout this site, but I find this one really creepy.
Looks like they're waiting to be fed.
Thank you, Nancy for the kind words. : )
Every one of us feels pain and goes through our own trials in life.
For me personally, I learned that writing stories or poetry can sometimes ease that pain as well as honor happier times.
Had Motts not titled this one, "Cold", I don't know if it would have triggered my memory of this emotion.
That's why I enjoy seeing what Motts names his photos, and then lets them out into the world, and the rest of us can take it from there.
We all see his photos in a different light, because we all have lived such different lives.
I see an angel who looks like she's been to hell and back.
Her gown is stained and torn.
How did that happen to her?
What led her on her journey that brought her here?
But still...there is something about the emotions on her face that portray a fighter. Who will not give up. She has to look inward to survive this hell.
Through all this I can see she has a glimmer of hope.
She reminds me of the saying,
"If you're going through Hell...keep going!"
