I have been in the same place, and I did look in the drawers. There were old files...lots of them. I took a folder (yeah, I know, I feel guilty) which has the medical records for a 5 year old boy. The files are dated 1962.

Many times I felt I should bring them back...I felt that maybe they "belonged" there, but the building is since demolished and condos are there. Now, I look at it not as theft, but as preserving history.

No....the smaller brick buildings are gone...but this huge SEVEN story building still stands.

I have a TON of pictures from this place, including one that eerily looks like a ghostly face looking at the camera.

I was recently nabbed for trespassing at GDH and have a court date set for March. Should I find an attorney or expect to just pay a fine and do some community service.??

Just saw a documentary on Sundance called "the Origin of AIDS".... seems that around 1950 some doctor working on a polio vaccine used his experimental vaccine on a group of human patients at Letchworth Village... a highly unethical if not illegal practice... and he was denounced because of it.
GREAT website, by the way, and if you haven't seen the flick "Session 9", check it out!
