Looks like those large wheels had the hand ring so a PT could move around on that thing. The massive amounts of wide planks used in this place is a testament to the huge old growth trees that were so cheap and abundant. All gone now!

I'm guessing fluorescent tubes. The black round thing is a heater with a cone shaped diffuser on the bottom. Looks like somebody may had been salvaging window parts.
