This is gorgeous. Truly one of the best sets you have done yet, Motts.
Take a bow, you've earned it.

"More power, Igor!" came the cry, echoing through the midnight storm. "I need more power!"

Alice paced up and down the delicate balcony, her hands clawing the air as she raged far above her party guests. The cake was late, and in the wrong color, the bunting on the columns did not match the ruffles on the other side, etc. Luckily, none saw her in this state, they were all pleasantly distracted by the live dissection of a party clown, which had been specially bred for this occasion.
Alice glanced down at the delighted crowd, and decided to try to enjoy the day. After all, isn't that what birthdays are for?

The wind changed direction, sweeping down into the little glade in which the house stood with its tall chimney. Hansel swallowed nervously and looked up from his feast of candy, just in time to see the crone's wicked grin....

This reminds me of a Roger Corman film!
You almost expect to Vincent Price himself sweeping down the hall with an evil laugh.

Simon groaned and pulled the threadbare pillow over his head. He knew it wouldn't work, the patient three doors down hadn't stopped screaming since Thursday. The vaulted ceilings made every shriek and sob audible even to the upper floor. Simon put the pillow back and stuffed his fingers in his ears....blessed quiet. Dimly, he could still hear the shrieks, but at least now he could get some sleep.

The doctor outside Simon's room shook his head, and turned from the observation window. This one hadn't stopped screaming since last Thursday...

Behind that door is the shriveled corpse of Harry Potter....alas, his dreams of being a Wizard were merely the dying thoughts of a starving, neglected boy. Of course, when the smell became too much, the Dursleys moved out, never to be seen again.

"I've been waiting for you" the shadow said, as it settled in for a stare. "When they shut the doors and turned off the lights, there was nobody left, anywhere. I wandered up, I wandered down, and nothing did I see.....but now YOUR'E here"
It said, growing tall, and spreading his darkness all over the walls, and baring his fangs so long and so sharp, and burning his eyes right into my heart..."and you'll never leave me...right?"
