Just a guess, but I'd imagine all of these were removed when the vehicles were scrapped, with the intention of reselling as military surplus. They must have sat in storage for years waiting for repurposing as generators or redneck engine swaps.

The ironworkers of old were the cream of the crop, all that structure is hot riveted together, no threaded bolts, the guy on the ground kept the rivets hot, and threw them to the catcher who placed it in the rivet hole, and the hammer man pounded it home, im a ironworker, but we dont do it like that anymore
