BKW, I think they did that due to the radiator being there, just incase somebody used it to dry off clothing on. Big time fire hazard that is.

I am surprised to see them intact, you would think they would be broken all over the room.

This is something you see on old cruise liners or in old resorts, would not expect to see it in a hospital. I guess for long stays, it helped keep patients entertained.
