The black stuff looks really similar to pictures I had seen of the inside of a house after it had caught fire. There were things resembling huge black spiderwebs everywhere inside because of how the air was circulating or something, but I doubt this is actually the result of a fire, just reminds me of that.

I lived in the area decades ago. I am so sad to see that the building has been let go. I remember how beautiful it was when it was still kept up. It made Millbrook special. I am amazed that the city let it go.

Ive been here back in the 1980's in my psychiatric rotation for nursing school. We were allowed in the main building and on the grounds with our patients if they had that privilege. These photos capture that eerie haunting feeling very well. Brings back memories for sure!

They are demolishing the main building, called old main. They're just looking for the money to do it. I'm pretty sure the morgue will be demolished too.
