One Flew Over The Cuckoo' Nest was filmed at the Oregon State Mental Hospital in Salem, Oregon. Just last month, that building complex was slated for demolition and replacement.

Those types of plastic chairs always come in a variety of colors. Very similar-ish chairs in my middle school. All the desks had different colored chairs even though they all looked the same.

No, while the hospital dates back to the 1800s, this particular building was constructed circa the 1950s, I don't have an exact date.

I think the balloons were for birthdays, there are 12 balloons, 1 for each month?. We had the same kind of thing in preschool.
