Incredible lighting and angle. You are a genius, Mr Motts
Love this one. Thanks Motts
More great work Motts. I think you must have been born with a gift for photography and you use it well. Lucky us who at the click of a mouse can be taken to these unreal abandon places, some of which no longer exist.your ledendary DG....

No, Hobo, it was the chapel of a Catholic girl's school, Convent of the Sacred Heart, Eden Hall. I attended daily Mass in that chapel, as did all the students and all the nuns. I'm afraid we took its beauty for granted; I appreciate what we have lost more than I appreciated it when I had it. Hopefully, a lesson learned.

we sing a song at summer camp, and the chorus goes like...
"You are the alpha, omega, beginning and end. You're my savior, messiah, redeemer and friend. You are my Prince of Peace, and I will live my life for you.."
now imagine kids of all ages jumping around in neon colors. behold the splendor of camp high harbor.

Behind these stalls was the visitors area. Parents etc. would come to view special events. As Cardinal Spellman walked up the center aisle in his long robes, my 4-year old brother whispered loudly, "Look Mom, that guy has no feet." The nuns sitting in those stalls had a hard time keeping straight faces.

Just discovered this site. The photos bring back a host of memories - like sneaking thru those gates down to the crypt & sliding down the fire escape chute & kneeling on those really hard chapel kneelers - and much, much more. How sorry I am that everything has been razed.
Neither soap dispesners nor Public address speakers--they are light fixtures that were along the walls above the stalls. They once had exquisite, etched glass shades.

It is an "Amphibious" church. If the flood waters started, it would roll over as the water level rose. "Lo, an Ark!"

Lynne, thanks so much for the link to the original cool light/soap disp. I am guessing Mr.Motts changed his original description after all the ribbing, but you can still "get" what was so funny-Funny Stuff and now I will appreciate the light/soap dispensers more!
