Jeebers, I feel small! How high up do these rooms go? I love imagining the people constructing these all those years ago with just scaffolding, "crude tools", and manual labor. That must have been a real bitch, but the product was so magnificent.

I hope they stripped this place bare before it was torn down. It would be a shame to have wasted this amazing craftmanship.

My earlier post about a fire may have been wrong then. Strange that the coloring on the ceiling would have been deliberate.
