This place as a whole feel rather pleasant, with well-lit, big spaces. It's more like a church than an asylum.

Very, very strange...the chair looks so new. And its not like someone could have just been spinning it around the hallways, the floor is in too bad of shape.

Might be an emerhency panel where it lights up in one of the sectors to tell you where the emergency is dunno otherwise

thanks for letting me post this, Motts)

Can someone tell me what the large panel is used for? not the electrical and telephone outlets)....

This has what look like 4 sections to the black-faced panel, but I've never seen one in use, so I wondered what it's used for?? THANKS EVERYONE!!
Motts, I have often thought the names of different places in England were creepy. Since my husband is English it has been the topic of some of our conversations. There is a prison in Manchester called Strangeways. It had an execution shed and a permanent gallows. I do agree with you that the names of the asylums sound great with them being abandoned. By the way, I am loving the pictures from your trip abroad!

Is it just me, or does it look like there is a person standing in the first big window from the left...? CREEPY.

I love the maroon and sky blue...I would've never thought to put them together but it works wonderfully. This place could've been made into something amazing (but then we wouldn't have these fantastic shots from Motts).
