wow- very disturbing. cruel.
these paintings were directly across from the cells- their only windows to the world, so to speak.

No happy little trees here my friends.
either way- this has been one of the few pictures that left a cold sinking feeling in my gut
*goosebumps*

Its a supine restraint board. they strap you in it so you cant harm yourself. inside the canvas there is slats of wood that keep it straight. The straps are tied around you and also used as handles for transporting violent patients to a safer area. Trust me, I spent 5 years in a mental facility.

Very cool Sean! Thanks for that update. It always makes the photo's on this site that much more interesting when they can be tied to a real person either in name or experience. Much appreciated..

This is heart breaking for some reason. So poor person is wandering around flapping their gums.
While it's a wonderful photo, I cannot see the 'she' that others are referring to. Is there a woman's face within this photo?

Perfect example of nature dismantling what man has made. Everything is reclaimed eventually.

I can't imagine a worst scenario than being locked in a room, alone, in an abandoned building, without a cell phone. In the summer you could die from hyperthermia. In the winter there's hypothermia. After the batteries in your flashlight died the cockroaches would be free to roam all over your ass after the sun goes down. But that's a moot point because you would die of dehydration from the lack of water in about a week or two.
