I'm not going to lie, does it ever end? The torture comments. OMFG THEY PUSHED PAITENTS OUT THAT WINDOW SO THEY WOULD HIT EVERY BRANCH OF THE TREE ON THE WAY DOWN, THEN AFTER THAT THEY OVERDOSED THEM ON MEDCATION THEENNNNNNNNNNNNN THEY BURNED THEM ALIVE AND TIED THEM UP FOR BED UNTILL THE NEXT DAY WHEN THEY GET A BATH WHEN THEY HOLD THEM IN BOILING WATER FOR HOOOOOURSSSSSSSS. THEN THEY MAKE THEM EAT SOAP WHILE GOUGING OUT THEIR EYES.

I could tell you what happened at Dixmont. But you would find it disturbing.

It's so scary!!!!!!!!!! I get soooooooooo wierded out when I think of what might've gone on during the mid 1800's to mentally sick patients.

What was the cause of the fire? How long after the closing of dixmont did it happen? Am I totally clueless about dixmont?

I think it's definitely a tree... Lovely photo of the hall. It's so spooky...hmmmmmmmmmm, makes me wonder if really there was torture here...

I've heard a lot of creepy things about this place, like how the staff used to do evil experiments on the patients... I'd really love to hear more info about this...
