Just to clear a few things up. My step-uncle is the "farmer" who sold the property for 2 million, not 35 million. Also I worked at Dixmont when I was 14. Granted, I'm sure there was some funky stuff that went on years ago but when I was there it was just a hospital that housed lunitics. Cool place to work though as first job

We are trying to get rid of a safe like this at work. It has the same "Pittsburg" markings on the front it is a stand alone safe about 5 foot high. We were going to sell it to some guy in pittsburgh but he is in Florida till April... If anyone wants to buy this make a post quick because it is going to be scrapped.

So walmart had the kahutzfa to not only tear down a beautifull old historic building but to top it off they built one of their crappy arse stores ontop of a grave yard? The nearve of them!

See above comments. As well, assisting people on or off the toilet when they cannot walk and need to use a wheelchair requires more space than your average stall (most of which are too small in the first place), and with the solid doors left on it is VERY difficult to do. Busted Trespasser (also above) noted that in some areas the full length curtains had still been left up. It is very difficult to judge how a place ran when it has been closed for a number of years and only certain items remain.

Ah, I don't like Walmart... on the up side, this place will forever live on in your photos, which is something...
