Does anyone know if it is really possible to catch TB from the items after so many years?
In fact, I´m always asking myself when looking at pics from TB-Hospitals.

Ash, this wasn´t a childrens hospital as far as I know, though I don´t know if there have been young patients too.

I also wonder why there are children on both illustrations - this place doesn´t seem to house children as patients. And I don´t know why there is this focus on wounded arms, too. Sure TB can affect the bones but why always arms?

I hate graffiti in abandoned buildings. I like graffiti everywhere else, if it´s a good one, but I really hate it in places like these.

I also thought that they are not that nonhazardous. These machines have radioactive material inside thats dangerous even when they´re off, even more of there´s anything broken inside.

It was mentioned some comments before - is it possible to catch TB after such a long time?
I really don´t know and thats something I´m always asking myself when I see pics from TB-hospitals.

to me, coming across old microwave ovens is the epitome of abandonment, for some reason. my family once had some property and one building sat inactive for about 20 years. 1986-2004 when it was sold and demolished. there was a basement kitchen with 50's style dining booths and stuff. i chose to go here after years of wondering what ever happened to it . well the microwave, a Liton metal monster oven was sitting in a cabinet with sliding doors near the pots and pans cabinet. Being that the bldng had power and heat still, I of course tried to turn it on.it worked BUT THE SMELL . was like sampling death. wish i could post pics of the boiler room....3 water tanks, all gas fired hot water, 2 abandoned tanks, and a massive oil burner steam heating boiler.

I could be wrong but I think Ronckowitz was a misspelled last name. If you Google it the only site that pops up is from Felyne's comment above.

It's absolutely awesome! My only concern is that the Tuberculosis bacteria does not die, not even if the place is abandoned. So some of those items still could be infected with the virus. :(
A wonderful shot, Mr. Motts. I do hope you don't mind if I post a bit of inspired prose:

"Come now, little one, just a simple bandage is all." the Dr. said.
"Okay," sniffled the girl, "but I'm not gonna look!"
The Doctor laughed warmly as he continued with his gentle care.
