We had those EXACT desks and storage units at my old office, and most of those were just put in new. Can't have been abandoned for long.

This is one place I would have definitely look at what was left. Papers, notes, even booting up the computer to see what was on it. Cool - looks like everyone went out for a cigarette and didn't come back. Very eerie.
