According to someone on my site's Pines message board, the people in the tub in that old picture being referenced here are some of the Ehrlich family, the owners until the end. The message board for anyone interested is located at http://www.ineedattention.com/yabbse/
Looking at these pictures, of what used to be a grand hotel, Is truly hearbreaking!
My memory of my times up at the Pines so rich , so vivid in my mind and memory. The true tapestry of this once great place
and my memory of it should be in a book or a museum!
Motts, I know this may be very far from you, but look up the Baker Hotel, in Mineral Wells, Texas. It's haunted, [for real.] &it is similair to alot of the places you have been to.
I'll help ya out, Motts....This is the site RULE. It is right ABOVE the comment box you type in.....

Face it, eventually the hotel will be torn down sooner or later, so why not grab a phone, a set of keys, a light fixture, or even that heart shaped tub that will all just get smashed and scooped up into a dumpster. Therefore what does it matter if someone takes them. If the "owners" cared about any of this stuff, they wouldnt just leave it there in a decaying building like that.
"Tell me how to get there and I'd take out all the cool lighting in the buildings before the inevitable happens and the cops order the hotel torn down so people cant loiter in it."
Why take thing's that don't belong to you ? That would be like someone coming into your house and taking whatever they wanted. Another hint it's in the North East keep looking.
I have a conscience, in the case of something from an abandoned hotel that will most likely be torn down anyway, it would just be thrown out with the rubble, so who would care or notice? If my condo was abandoned for as long as the pines has been and I suddenly came back to it, I wouldnt expect anything to be there but rodents, insects, & graffitti
