Why not take things from abandoned hotels that are eventually just gonna get torn down anyway.

The reason why it was not trashed I think like many other places is because of where it is and how it it situated ..

I remember eating in this dining room in the mid 1980s. Kosher all the way....love it or leave it! You couldn't beat the price though....my wife and I stayed for two nights, all meals included for about $90 total.

Great shot for an uninspired movie director making the next "Hotel Hell in the Catskills" movie!! Hollywood couldn't have fabricated this scene any better.

It was my favorite borscht belt hotel.
I was good friends , with the owners daughter. Recently I went to the Raleigh(still operating) and met someone else who knew the owners and gave ma an update. I had stopped by the Pines two years ago with my family to see what remained and took some photos and some video , inside and out. You got alot more than I did, once we felt the water under our feet in the upstairs lobby , we ran back outside. I wnet to the house and Mr. Erlich opened the door ! We chatted for a while . It breaks my heart to know i can't take my kids there for a vacation .
