i went to sunnycroft around 69 or seventy i was young guy . fell in love with the place and made my mom take me back a couple of times, Mike owned it then. A LADY NAMED CHRIS RAN THE STABLE. I MADE SOME FRIENDS NAMED Scott, wynn and con Erico. and a kid named Ken I think he was from Livingston. Does any of this ring a bell to anyone.
My grandmother (now deceased who lived in Tupelo, Mississippi) used too own a few rotary phones, and I do vividly remember making telephone calls on her phone in the 1970's. Rotary telephones definitely do predate the 1970's, as far as the American public having too use rotary telephones are concerned.
Great lobby! Love the hanging lights, circa 80's. I wish this place was still opened....it has a mysterious, haunting quality about it; like going back in time...
Rocking Horse was our arch rival at Sunnycroft, it was just OK it could not touch the "RANCH" in any way shape or form.
Sunnycroft had the hot women, the hot crowds and the action, the other "place" was just there....................no Apologies but the truth be told SUNNYCROFT RULED...................................................................
Does anyone remember me? I worked in the day camp and as a mothers helper to the Ehrlich children. The love of my life then, at sixteen, was Steven Ehrlich, age three. I hope you are well and happy, my love. I sometimes think of all of you. Also worked as a hostess in the dining room where I had the unique experience of personally meeting Elvis Presley. They were the best years of our lives. Thanks for the photo's. My email address is Donna@nailbuffs.com if anyone wishes to reach us.
My parents and my aunts worked at the Pines for many years.
I remember going there to visit as a kid.
Took a drive there today and it brought back so many memories.
The entire area seems so run down. Not the cool place I remember it as in the 70's. What a shame.
