Yes, this wasa the newest building, the Savoy and yes, if you knew the right people, durring slow times, the room could be made available.

Yes, that WAS the newest building, the Savoy. And yes, during 'slow times' at the hotel, the room could be had for 'consideration.
I spent almost all of my youth there as my family, then me, operated the Coffee Shop from the 60's till the 90's.
What memories!
I was a young kid staying at Sunnycroft every summer, my parents band Reparata and the Delrons played there a lot, (Helaine aka Cookie and Joseph Sirico).. my Uncle, Guy Valeri, was there quite a bit as well.. i believe I spent at least 5 summers there working at bussing tables, and horse back riding... It was a great place to grow up... I still have some pictures.. I remember having a crush on one of the horse handlers.. Pinky was his name i believe..
