I have read that the lampshades are gone. Well it's illegal because there must be an owner somewhere. But on the other hand, it's somehow good news, because they are safe from damage. And they are supposed to be valuable, as someone stated. Even if they haven't been discovered on ebay, it does not mean that they are just a souvenir. maybe there were sold in a shop for antique furniture.

My Dad ran the ice rink. So this place was a job( athletic staff, life guard, golf course and of course the skating rink) as well as a place to hang out. there were lots of good times. Any of you ex employees remember Joe Black; the guy who taught " the hully gully and various novelty dances"?

in the 80's I was a member of a group called Rainbow and NY State had there annual "Grand Assembly" at the pines the first 2 years I was in the group (they had been useing it for a while) I can remember being on that stage doing stuff for the group....wow
