It could be the the hospital that was between S. Quarry St. and Valentine Pl. Established 1889 as Ithaca City Hospital. Closed and re-purposed for the college in 1960; the buildings still appear to be used. There was also Ithaca Children's Home at 516 West Seneca Street.

I am trying to find a place somewhere in Ithaca that I spent some time at when I was 4 for physical therapy because of Polio back around 1958? I don't think it was only for disabled children. Not mentally, But just physically handicapped. I have memories of the inside but not the out side, or the name. I just wondered if it still exists and if it ever became like all the rest and had to shut down? These places kinda remind me of that place.
I can't help but notice that light fixture on the ceiling that just seems to hang in mid air -
Very, very pretty.
Cold, really? With the golden mirror image of the outside windows on the wall, it seems warm to me.
I love the colors and shapes in this one. It's pretty. Weird and depressing... and pretty...

Amazing
Skills! Vivid green. Love the colors. May you always be well is my daily wish. Thank you, Mr.Motts.
Left behind.......and what it makes me feel: a rusty bed, a sad picture. And the caged window; such despair.
Classic. Timeless. Beautiful picture. To me it tells so much about us human beings. Lock up fellow men; they don´t fit in, they look into the hall thru a round window. A favorite! Always good work, well done, Mr. Motts. Be safe!
Decay perfection! Toll of time! Great shot! Yes, lamp still there! Ahhhhhh that light at the end! Love this! Be well and stay in safety whenever....
Yes, this picture........i like so much. Everything: the colors, the light, the two intact lamps above, and the dark square in the middle. Agree, awesome, Mr.Motts. This is a fine gallery!
After looking through the website over the last year or so, I have to say this is my overall favorite image. It's just amazingly stunning. Thanks Motts. Hope I run into you one day.
