70 yrs ago I swam in a pool close to the hospital. My brother worked there. I loved the place, and being familiar even then with Count Dracula, I knew this was his home. It looked like a castle to me and these fantastic pictures just prove I was not wrong. You just brought back my childhood to me through these photos, thanks.

I don't think the dark areas are torch marks...........looks like wear and dirt from MANY years of use. Fabulous find!! BTW; I think it said "The Hall's Safe Co." in the prior photo........
This building has some wonderful features.......the fireplaces, arches & staircases are treasures! It's such a shame to see it unlived in this way....

I use the Wellness Center that is on campus. I used to get freaked out when I walked by the old hospital. Now when I walk by I wonder if I am being watch by spirits. It's almost like I can feel the tortures of the residents.

by far the most gorgeous building ive ever seen in person. i've walked around it many times. its just really wierd that there's is still one red light in the in the building at night.
